Registration Information

This is information that you provide "actively" - meaning, you choose to submit this information to us when you join RCD, or when you update your membership at any point after having joined.

Company Name, Your Name , Address, Telephone Numbers - This information is necessary to determine if a company or individual is to be granted “Total Access” membership to RCD. RCD will not disclose any of this information to any RCD member, or to any third party without your permission.

Email Address - Your email address allows RCD to route important messages to you. Site information that is mailed to all members, notification of buy and sell activity that is important only to you, and completion of the sales process; these all rely on the email address you provide when you signup. RCD will not disclose your email address to any RCD member, or to any third party without your permission.

EPA Certificate Number and Federal ID or Social Security Number - This information is the same information that would be required of you in any transaction involving the sale or purchase of refrigerants and solvents (to satisfy, where appropriate, the EPA and IRS). RCD will not disclose your EPA Certificate Number, Federal ID, or Social Security Number to any RCD member, or to any third party without your permission.

ID Number and Password - These unique identifiers are associated with your membership and enable you to log on to the secure “members only” section of RCD. The ID Number is assigned by RCD and you select your own Password. While many other aspects of your RCD membership can be updated regularly, your ID Number cannot be changed. You may, however change your password and all other information with an email request to RCD. RCD will not connect your ID Number or Password with you to any RCD member, or to any third party without your permission.

Member Profile Information - This information provides data that RCD uses to alert you, by email, when a Sales Lot of particular interest to you becomes available on the site. It is to the members benefit to fill this in with as much detail as possible. The more detail provided, the more pertinant the information sent by RCD. RCD will not disclose any of this information to any RCD member, or to any third party without your permission.

Other Information

This information is provided "passively" - meaning, that RCD obtains this information when you login to your RCD membership and use the service. This is done primarily through the use of a "cookie". A cookie is a small text file that many Web sites write through your browser when you visit them. A cookie can only be read by the site that places it, so RCD can't "see where you've been" based on any other cookies in your browser. Much controversy and myth has been spread about cookies, specifically that cookies "read or write information on your computer's hard drive, and are therefore evil", or "cookies can find out where I live and what my email address is." RCD assures you that cookies are only used by RCD to verify your login information in order to protect the secure status of the site. Any time that you point your browser to a secure “members only” area, RCD checks your browser's cookie file to see if you have already logged in, and if you have, you're taken right to the page that you have requested. If not, you'll be directed to the sign-in page where you can quickly log in or to the RCD Registration page to sign up if you are not yet a member.

Termination

You can elect to terminate your membership with RCD at any time, by sending an email to info@rcdusa.com Be sure to include your ID Number and/or Email Address in the body of your message, so that we can easily identify your membership. Upon termination, your membership information will not necessarily be removed entirely from RCD. This is to reserve your identity so that no one else can create a new membership with your ID Number or Email Address, and also allows you the privilege of reactivating your membership at a later date if you wish to use RCD again.

Summary

In this electronic era, when business/personal information can easily be obtained through various sources, RCD appreciates the sensitivity of any private information that you disclose to us. It is our intention to treat your membership information with the highest level of care. In keeping with this, the RCD server is password protected and, in addition, all information stored on the RCD server is password protected.
